Bear Bear Apps LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Shotreps mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

Information We Collect

Shotreps does not require account creation or login. Your drill sessions, gun profiles, progress history, and settings are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored on any server operated by us.

Device Permissions

Microphone — used to detect gunshots and measure shot times for the Shot Timer feature. Audio is processed on-device in real time and is not recorded or transmitted.
Location — used to auto-fill weather conditions and compass bearing for ballistics calculations. Location data is used only at the moment of the calculation and is not stored or transmitted to us.
Camera — used to photograph targets for the Target Reader feature, which analyzes shot groupings using AI (see below).

You can disable any of these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app. Doing so will limit the related feature but will not affect the rest of the App.

Third-Party AI Processing

Certain features — AI Coach, Target Reader, and the Range Session Planner — send your questions, target photos, or session details to Anthropic (anthropic.com), a third-party AI provider, in order to generate a response. This data is transmitted securely and is subject to Anthropic's own privacy and data handling practices. We do not store copies of these requests or responses on our own servers.

What We Don't Do

We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.
We do not require an account, email, or sign-in to use the App.

Children's Privacy

Shotreps is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
